The New Beginnings at Waverly LLC’s goal is to expand professional recovery opportunities to all professionals and caregivers, offering them access to high quality, low-cost, effective addiction recovery treatment that we have made possible for so many professionals over the years in a coordinated, successful, and effective way.
The New Beginnings Professionals Track opens chemical dependency recovery services and return-to-work support services to the general class of professionals that may not have access to high-end, exclusive, professional programs. Professionals such as pharmacists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, in short, all professionals or caregivers should be given the same opportunity for treatment, the same care, consideration, and expertise offered to other professionals. STIMULANT TRACK
New Beginnings has a specifically designed track for stimulant users and abusers. The goals include the following:
• To understand physical and psychological changes a stimulant user experiences when faced with euphoric recall and ways to cope with those feelings without using.
• Identification of personal rewards gained from chemical use and the lifestyle and developing personal rewards to support recovery.
• Bringing closure to the relationship with the chemical and lifestyle; identifying the best recovery plan.
• Identifying and practicing healthy coping skills to maintain recovery.
CORRECTIONS BASED TREATMENT
The purpose of our jail program is to support the court’s mission to successfully reduce the incidence of alcohol and drug abuse. Our belief is that criminal activity can be significantly reduced by providing addiction treatment to those who need it while they are in legal custody.
Treatment takes place in two general ways:
• While Incarcerated—We recognize that not every person learns in the same way, so we have developed an approach that is based upon the “Matrix Model.” This program will be individualized and tailored to each person’s issues and drug dependencies, as well as designed to accommodate their length of stay in jail.
• Upon Release—A life coach will be assigned to make each person accountable and responsible for his or her own actions via the mentoring program. Each of our life coaches will assist the rehab patient in the recovering process for the duration of the incarceration and after release by using evidence-based techniques combined with a many different learning options.
Mentoring is approximately six months of highly structured, personal supervision. This program is for chemically dependent male and female offenders and is a successful alternative to traditional treatment and aftercare. It facilitates structured drug or alcohol recovery with less involvement as the client progresses through the program and assumes more responsibility. This program also incorporates curfew, unannounced random home visits with drug testing and weekly involvement in 12-step groups.
Still, mentoring can be flexible to the offender’s needs; the intensity decreases with progress or may be increased if needed. This program was designed to meet the needs of the clients that experience difficulties finding 12-step meetings, securing a sponsor, or working a 12-step program. We help clients with things such as acquiring and continuing to take proper medicine, scheduling appointments, obtaining employment, arranging for bill payment, and committing community service.
